VFI’s LINK Resource Centre hosted a Mapping Database Capacity Building Training for technical staff members of the
Information & Map Division of the NLMA from 30 May to 17 June 2011, with 16 participants from 7 provinces (Bokeo,
Bor-likhamxay, Khammuan, Savannakhet, Salavan, Attapeu and Champasak), chaired by Dr. Bounkeua Vongsalath,
Deputy Director General of LNRRIC.
The training built capacity on the use of the Arc GIS program, (including map layer, data correction and arrangement,
geo-graphic map database, usage of pictures and tool for printing, collecting document, statistics and map information)
GPS usage, and basic knowledge on Visual Basic 2008. |
